Adriana Blanco (BS 2014)

UNT alumni Adriana Blanco

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, I graduated from the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University with bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics, respectively, in 2014. During my time at UNT, I enjoyed the wide variety of project courses, and working on our Senior Design Project. That year we developed a solar-powered boat for a competition in Dayton, Ohio. I currently work as a System Test Engineer for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island. NUWC is the Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering, and fleet support center for submarine warfare systems and many other systems associated with the undersea battlespace. As a test engineer, I verify that the sonar software meets government requirements. Because these are the same tactical displays and builds that sailors underway will use, the testing and evaluation process is crucial. I enjoy the work, and supporting the finest fleet in the world.
